To Be Continued

On January 18th there was an official celebration of Jim's life. After 28 years of marriage and a long friendship, not always friendly, it also marked the end of a large part of my life. We spent our youth together and produced three wonderful daughters. Somehow they picked up the best of each of us. I am grateful that he reunited with Mary and had some happy times with her. His health was so bad that any extension of life would be wrong. When it's time to go it's time to go. But the wonder of life goes on. It is pouring rain and as a weather starved Californian I am relishing in it. A fire in the fireplace a new book to read and Shadow curled up beside me. Better than anything money can buy.

Well said. Uh oh, Could you and Jennifer have picked up the creative writing gene. You are both sooooo good with words! And, Mary was just a flash in the pants (did I say that!)

Gita's comment does have a certain ring of truth to it, however it was intended. How freudian of her!
